The Historic East Ybor and Gary Neighborhood Association, Inc., (HEYGNA), pronounced HAYG-NAH is a voluntary neighborhood association that serves to improve the neighborhood through community service, crime reduction, land use, zoning, code enforcement, historic preservation, transportation, green space, social gatherings, and other development-related issues.
Boundaries. Our boundaries, formed and approved by both the City of Tampa and the Association, are I-4 to the North; East Adamo Drive (FL Route 60) to the South; 40th Street to the East; and 22nd Street to the West.
Areas of the Neighborhood. We are further divided into three (3) Representative Areas. They are:
- North Representative Area: North of 7th Avenue, West of the Crosstown connector
- South Representative Area: South of 7th Avenue, West of the Crosstown connector
- East Representative Area: East of the Crosstown connector
